Hot Apples Stewed In Calvados

This spiced mix of apples and calvados (French apple brandy) goes perfectly with thunder and lightening ice cream.

 

Recipe for hot apples stewed in calvados

Serves 4 with ice cream

Ingredients

  • 2 cooking apples
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 4 tbsp Calvados (or brandy)
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 tsp lemon juice

Method

  1. Peel, core, and chop the apples.
  2. Heat gently in the rest of the ingredients.
