The Best Salad Spinner

For my sins I am involved in fitting out kitchens for rental properties. Everything gets some pretty hard wear and one of the first things to go is the salad spinner. The type with string is always left in a tangle which eventually refuses to pull and often frays.

The type with a lever always cracks – the plastic is never strong enough for the pounding which people on holiday can’t seem to resist meting out to this piece of equipment, but to be fair, usually they are pretty flimsy anyway.

So now I have found a salad spinner which is both more solidly made than most, and also operates using a different system – ie a handle that turns rather than either a string or a lever. It also doesn’t take up too much room in the cupboard – an additional advantage.

You can buy it…. like so many things…. on Amazon.
